5 Types of Air Purifiers Reviewed

It’s now common to find air purifiers in both the workplace and home. Sufferers of asthma and allergies now use them to make the air easier to breath. Due to the sheer amount of different technologies it can be confusing when you decide to buy one.
We reviewed the most popular air purifier technologies so you can find the purifier that is perfect for your household.
Air purifiers are devices that remove contaminants from the internal atmosphere of a building. There are various 5 main types of air purifiers:
1. UVGI – or Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation works by killing germs or bacteria using light wave radiation. UV are not the most efficient as removing bacteria and mold will require excessive amount of UV radiation before they are destroyed.
2. High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters trap particulate matter efficiently (99% of all 0.3 micrometer particles can be trapped as well as a significant portion of smaller particles). The efficiency of HEPA filters is maximized when air is unable to circulate around the filter. This means airtight rooms that ventilate through specified ducts, which is not the case of most homes.
3. The technology of activated carbon is based on the fact that carbon activated will adsorb pollutants on a molecular level. The efficiency of activated carbon is a bone of contention as once the carbon reaches equilibrium with the surrounding air then no more pollutants will be removed. If the amount of chemicals is high on the filter then some of these might be released back into the air.
4. One of the best things about Ionizer purifiers is that they don′t use a polymer filter like the HEPA air purifiers. The way that a Ionizer purifiers works is by using ions to charge the surrounding air and then using a plate that is oppositely charged to pull away any pollutant compounds. Ionic based purifiers are very quiet in operation when compared with HEPA technology. Removing very tiny particles is very easy with Ionization purifiers but have problems when trying to remove germs and bacteria.
5. PCO (Photo-catalytic Oxidation) might be a the major air purification technology in the future due to its promised efficiency for very low energy consumption. Currently PCO can not be used in homes as it has problems removing gaseous pollutants created during the reaction process.
We hope that these 5 reviews of the latest air purification technologies will help you to know which technology is right for your home.
We found that the top ionization air purifiers on the market are the Oreck XL range. If you want to read more Air Purifier reviews and you can find even more information.

It is very easy to get confused about picking the best from a wide assortment of motherboards. In fact picking the right motherboard can certainly prove to be an especially intimidating task, and this in turn will make putting together your own computer a lot harder than it needs to be. You must however learn to pick the motherboard with great care because all the different computer components have to be connected to it and so an inappropriately chosen motherboard will become a major reason for a lot of malfunctions.
This is a good reason why you should not try and economize on the price of motherboards and instead be prepared to fork up a little extra in order to get the right product. Remember that if you get a high quality product it will work well and this in turn means getting a good return on your investment. On the other hand a poorly chosen product will not work well and will mean a waste of money.
When it comes to picking this important part of your computer the first thing that you need to do is identify a proper processor and especially one that is compatible with the motherboard. This means that if you pick an Intel CPU then you need a motherboard that is Intel compatible while if you choose an AMD CPU then you need a motherboard that is AMD compatible.
In addition to the processor you will also need to pick the right chipset. This is what helps in controlling the functioning of the motherboard and it also helps to interface the CPU with other computer components and also with different expansion cards. Also, be sure to pick a chipset that comes with memory that works with your motherboard.
Other than the chipset you must also look for the right amount of expansion slots as well as connectors which will help you connect different devices and peripherals to your computer. Typically, you will get a USB 2. 0 port and in addition you should look for a FireWire as well.
In addition, you have to pick your motherboards that can also support over-clocking and which are more feature rich as well.
The more homework you do the better will be your chances of finding the right deals. One good choice is to go for ASUS motherboards that are of good quality and will work well as well.

Taking a look at LG portable hard drives reveals a lineup of models that are aimed squarely at the heart of the hard drive computer market. So LG was not a big player in hard drives just a few years ago, it now is applying its considerable expertise in the field of consumer electronics manufacturing to producing some of the finest portable hard drives in the world.
As a form of computer peripheral — meaning that it is not actually central to their computer’s CPU — a portable hard drive can only be as good or as bad as the maker that constructed it is. In this case, when it is LG that has built the hard drive, it’s a sure bet that it will come with an array of capabilities and storage that most other portable hard drives won′t be able to match.
As well, it is a fact that computer memory has decreased in price greatly over the last several years. A hard drive — whether portable or permanently embedded in the CPU — from LG could be very reasonable in price, in a relative sense and when compared to other hard drives out on the market. A good one can store up to 500 GB of data, weigh around 11 ounces and sell for about $155, retail.
In truth, there isn′t anything very difficult about interfacing a portable computer hard drive. And when it’s made by LG, it’s bound to be even easier to interface. This is because LG committed itself to the undertaking of serious research over the years in order to come up with the latest hard drive technology. Additionally, LG has focused a lot of resources on making them easy to use.
Nowadays, LG has developed a complete line of portable hard drives in an attempt to steal some market share from the dominant portable hard drive maker in the country. One way LG is trying to get that market share is by packing each of its hard drives with the best technology possible. The newest portable versions feature into half-inch HDD and a few higher tech interface ports.
These extremely small and very light portable hard drives come in a variety of storage sizes, starting at 120 GB and running all the way up to 320 GB. Of course, larger hard drives such as the one discussed above can come in as much as 500 GB of high-quality storage capacity. When it comes to locating these drives, a quick check of the Internet will reveal an army of retailers ready to go.
These days, LG is taking its already sterling reputation for quality and reliability and applying it to certain aftermarket computer pieces and peripherals such as LCD monitors and portable hard drives. What’s for sure is that all of the experience LG has gained in making other consumer electronics has gone into producing LG portable hard drives that match up well against the competition.

It certainly is a good idea to shop for a Kingston memory product but there are a few things that you should understand before you actually purchase a particular product. The simple fact is that Kingston Technology is presently offering a number of distinct memory products chief among are the System-specific memory from Kingston and then there is the ValueRAM line and also a product known as Hyper X.
Each line of Kingston memory products is designed to suit a particular purpose and so before you buy a product from them be sure that you are sure that the product you choose to buy is exactly what will fit your needs.
Each separate line of the Kingston memory products boasts of the best design that in turn helps to produce memory that can be used to meet a certain kind of purpose. This obviously means that prior to buying these kinds of memory it is necessary that you ascertain that the memory will suit a specific need.
Such memory modules can suit different computer brands including Sony, Compaq and you can make your purchase according to the system model and brand name. Furthermore, you will also get a hundred percent guarantee of compatibility and often the reseller/distributor also provides return privileges.
The Kingston ValueRAM option is meant for use by a whitebox user and who needs to integrate the memory with a system. Such memory products are engineered to adhere to the best industry standards and are tested thoroughly to ensure optimum performance. Such memory modules make an ideal choice for those with a whitebox or who own a generic system.
It is quite easy to purchase ValueRAM from any retail store and of course you can also source them from any online store as well as from online system integrators and also from distributors. You can choose this Kingston memory according to specific specs including like a one GB DDR2-667 PC2-5300 CL5 DIMM.
You can also rest assured that these memory products are tested and passed fit for use by the ordinary user and the memory also adheres to the standards in force in the computer industry. If you are certain about the exact specifications of the Kingston ValueRAM then you can go ahead and purchase this product. Mostly, only in case a defect is noticed in the Kingston ValueRAM will the seller take back the item. However, if the memory is found to be incompatible with your system then you won′t be able to return the product to the seller.

How do you really feel about a laptop computer

If only I could turn back time. I would truly enjoy being in an easier generation (for me, that is). The insanity of having a laptop computer drives me crazy! Why would I have a need for an electronic, little, black box?
I’m simple. Apparently though, that does not work for my grown children. They feel their mom needs to stop being “technologically ignorant.” After much quarrelling, I finally agreed to their purchasing a laptop for me.
When I see the UPS truck pull into my driveway, I have to say, I was not happy. Taking the package from the delivery man, I slowly turn to enter my home. I go to my sewing room and sit to open the box.
Packaging, bubble wrap and directions fell out as the new laptop computer faced me. Wow, I literally heard the “reek reek reek″ of that movie with the large butcher knife and the shower curtain, as my terrified hands tried to open this contemporary disturbance.
I felt myself hyperventilating. “How am I going to do this?” I spoke aloud to myself. “I’m a plain country girl. I milk cows, feed chickens, grow gardens, sew clothes, what in the world will I do with this thing!”
I carefully opened the latch, lifted the lid and was faced with a keyboard and blank screen. For some reason, I realized, this is not as bad as I had thought.
In my life, I have faced tornadoes, flooding, crop losses, this little laptop computer was not going to bother me. But then, there was something else I had to face.
Oh my god, those darn instructions!
Those intimidating instructions! I silently screamed as the words on the pages made no sense! My eyes were blind! My brain was tormented! My temperature was starting to boil!
Slowly, I could hear a phone ringing in the distance. It was my sweet cellular phone! I remember when I first got it and it also made me dizzy. Now, it is a solemn friend. Could my feelings change about my laptop computer?
I could hear the faint ringing of a phone. When I first got my cellular phone it was difficult for me, too. It was evil to me in the beginning. Then eventually, I grew closer to it and lost my fear. Maybe, that would happen with my laptop computer.
Am I less of a human (or mother, for that matter), simply because I enjoy my simplicity?
“I know how horrible electronics are for you. The family and I should be over this weekend to help you get to know your gift. I sure hope you enjoy it. I love you very much and will talk with you later. Bye!”
Is it possible my laptop computer could also become my friend?

Technology is changing every minute and every day. Hardly a day goes by us in which we do not hear about the changes in technology. One such area is electronics and in that PCs and laptops. This area has seen tremendous and quick changes. Every company that manufactures PCs and laptops seems to be working towards a common goal of making PCs and laptops as light weight as possible. Every company wants to come up with the smallest yet the most powerful one than ever. You must have heard about Acer Aspire series that consist of various models of laptops and even PCs. Acer Aspire One is one such example of smaller is better policy.
Talking about Acer, the brand kept growing over the past decade and it has earned a respectable name in the industry. Acer was the first one to use Blu-Ray drives in their laptops. There are a lot of models in Aspire series and the best part is that everyone can find the best fit according to their own needs. The latest laptop Aspire One is an excellent choice for people who are always on the move because it is small, compact and easy to carry.
If you have to travel a lot and have to stay connected to the world, then buying Aspire One is a great solution. It weighs about 2. 78 lbs and has an 8. 9 inch LCD. It also consists of a 160 GB hard disk and a 1 GB RAM so we can say that it does not have any technology hindrances despite its small size. As said before, it is ideal for people who have to travel a lot.
I have always found Acer laptops to have great battery life. So seeing the small one, I thought since it is small and it might not have a good battery life, I tested it. Surprisingly enough, it lasted about 5 hours despite the fact that I was using a graphics and animation software which consumes battery very much. You’ll be surprised it lasts much longer despite its size.
Aspire One is one such example of the electronics provided by Acer, there are many examples of the latest technology provided by Acer that is user friendly, always up to date and easy in maintenance.
Aspire One is only one of many examples of Acer where Acer has provided a brilliant service to the consumer in terms of cost and capacity. You can search online and compare prices of Acer laptops and PC specifically of Aspire series and you will find a great deal for yourself. Aspire series are generally affordable for common man.
Acer Aspire series have made a proper name of themselves in market by building their trust worldwide. Now there is no place or country in the world where Acer laptops are not available for common use. You can even connect to internet and order a laptop or a PC if it is not available in the market. Now a lot of online stores even offer free shipping facilities. If you are not really a technical person than buy your Acer laptop or PC from a shop that provides good support and troubleshooting services. Also, go for a store that has other facilities available because once you buy a PC or a laptop you would like to make use of it for a long time.

Massage Chairs At The Consumer Electronics Show Are Startling
November 16, 2009 by Valerie Oswald

This year I went to the Las Vegas 2009 Consumer Electronics Show or CES. This is the largest tradeshow for electronic manufacturers in the whole world. Everything that is new, innovative or hot is on display and most can be tried out. I walked the whole show and was particularly interested in the top massage chairs. These electronic and robotic wonders are getting more effective and sophisticated. Here are some of the best massage chairs that I found.
One of the more interesting massage chairs at the show was the Dream Wave Sogno. The Dream Wave Sogno was the winner of the CES 2009 Innovation Award for its advanced designed and sophistication. This massage recliner has some amazing technology.
One of the features of the Sogno is its air compression massage system. This massage chair has airbags for the neck, arms, hands and most other parts of the body. The air massage around the neck area is very soothing and relieving. This is perhaps the best air compression design for the neck area on the market today. The arm airbags were less impressive as I did not really receive much effectiveness.
The Dream Wave is named for the advanced seat design which is incorporated into this recliner. The seat pivots to provide ergonomic support for your spine and buttocks. The seat will rock in place in a wave like movement. This helps to reduce the stress built up on the spine and relax the lower torso. This technological marvel comes in an egg-shaped design which is a bit funky for most households. All this technology comes at a price, which for the Sogno was $6,000.
I did get to try the most expensive massage chair at the CES Show. The $8,000 Fujiiryoki massage chair was by far the most expensive. The Fujiiryoki massage chair has an FDA device listing and was being billed as a medical chair. This massage recliner comes with a shoulder press massage. The shoulder press is powered by an air compressor which activates airbags to squeeze both shoulders with a compression massage.
The Fujiiryoki chair also has an air massage for the lower body and for the arms as well. The high end Fujiiryoki chair has been out for 2 years and is by far the most expensive at $8,500. The massage was fairly thorough, but the chair was a bit hard when you are just seated in it.
Now, having tried the most expensive chairs at the CES, I was interested in how the Omega Montage Premier would compare. I liked the neck massage of the Sogno and the shoulder compression of the Fujiiryoki. The Montage Premier, however, gave a stronger massage and penetrated deeper. Another note was the supplemental items such as music, full body heat and a traction system which the Montage Premier had but were lacking in the others.
Omega has put together a fuller massage experience with its Montage Premier. A tradeshow is the toughest environment to try massage chairs because of all the action going on. The Montage Premier let me tune out the show with their built in MP3 player and headphones. I closed my eyes drifted off as the music carried me away and the Montage Premier worked is soothing massage therapy. I activated the full body heaters and the traction system to stretch my lower body. This was certainly an excellent test to relaxation. The Montage Premier passed with flying colors as I felt fully relieved. Even the $4,500 price tag was more relieving than the others I tried.
I also surveyed the entire show for Sanyo and Panasonic who have some great massage chairs. Neither of those companies were displaying their massage chairs this year. They did have some impressive Big Screen TV’s with crystal clear images. There were an assortment of other massage chairs, but they were just at the show to sell you a massage chair. I was afraid they may not be at the show next year as they seemed a bit too high pressure to buy.
I also tried a variety of massage chairs form all sorts of companies. I tell you this is hard work. Some of these chairs are poorly designed or have ineffective massage therapies, so I won’t name any names here. There are always companies that are out for a quick buck. I always ask the company if they sell to retailers. If they don’t then I am always concerned with warranty problems down the road.
I tell you the CES 2009 was an amazing show with every conceivable and unique electronic devices all under one roof. I was fortunate to try many massage chairs from some great companies. The most impressive were the Montage Premier, Fujiiryoki and the Dream Wave. These are certainly impressive pieces of technology and will provide years of excellent massage therapy at the touch of a button. If you have a chance, check them out and see which is best for you.
The CES is held every year in Las Vegas in early January. It is the worlds showcase for consumer electronics. The attendance was around-0,000 people with over 2,800 exhibitors. It is so big that it spills over from the main convention center into the Sands and the Hilton Hotels. If you want to see the best massage chairs on the market, then make your plans on attending the 2010 CES show.
The CES is absolutely the showcase for the Top Massage Chairs in the World. You will find a showcase of all the best the world of electronics has to offer. For more information, peruse our massage chair reviews and articles. We feature the best brands of massage chairs for all your needs.
Just the Facts about Laptops

Whether you are using your laptop for work, school or play, there is no arguing that they are astoundingly convenient tools. Rather than spending the majority of the work day in a cubicle or at home, we can now get our work done from virtually everywhere.
Until the last five years, the cost of average laptops put them out of reach for many casual consumers. However, as the cost of manufacturing computer components to fall, the price tags on laptops have finally started coming down as well.
The first time that you have the opportunity to get online over a wireless connection while you are out about is a memorable occasion. Almost overnight, it seems that there is a public or private wireless connection available on every corner, and it is likely that none of us will ever think of portable community the same way ever again. However, it is important to bear in mind that your information is not nearly as secure when using a public wireless connection as it is at home or work. While that might sound rather obvious, it only takes a moment’s indiscretion to leave your system or personal information open to exploitation.
Extended warranties have been the butt of plenty of jokes over the years, but the joke might be on you if you ignore this option without considering the consequences. Due the compact nature of the many critical components to a laptop, it is much easier for these types of computers to break down than other devices. While extended warranties for laptops might come with a large price tag of their own, they can be well worth the money to protect an expensive computer.
The most exciting development in affordable laptops during the last couple years has been the explosion of netbooks onto the market. Netbooks are simply very basic laptops that have only the hardware and software that is necessary to get online and complete general tasks. However, a growing number of applications are now available on the internet in the form of cloud computing that makes installing and running large software packages increasingly unnecessary.
Backing up the hard drive of your laptop is a common sense habit that neglectful owners ignore at their own peril. It is a dangerous world out there, and you can lose your laptop and all of your data in a flash due to theft or an unfortunate accident. However, backing up your data is much simpler than it used to be with new external hard drives that are practically plug and play.
A growing number of households are choosing to only use laptops and are forgoing the purchase of a home personal computer all together. Due to the convenience of computing anywhere in the home with a laptop and a wireless network, the dedicated computer desk may be a thing of the past some day. However, most consumers find that it can be difficult to sit at a laptop for long periods of typing, and the screens on many laptops can strain one’s eyes.

1. Identify what fundamental tasks you will need your notebook to provide.
2. Second thing you want to do is begin doing research on the components of laptops, and better understand what they do for you.
3. Third thing you want to do is evaluate what components and features you want your laptop to have.
4. Last thing you want to do is research prices for laptops that fit your desired needs and wants so you know where to find the best deal.
First, identifying what fundamental task you will need your notebook to provide is the first research you need to do. These tasks include being able to send emails, type word documents, and watch DVDs. To perform these tasks, you will need specific features and components, which will be addressed in the third step.
Second, researching notebook computer components to understand what they do for the laptop and you is important in choosing what you need for your computer later. Each function of the computer is controlled by specific components. While most components do multiple tasks, the ability to perform some tasks require specific components. If you research these so you have a basic understanding of them, then you will be able to choose the right laptop in the end.
The third step is to figure out what components as well as features that are important for you to have in your computer. After the second step, you understand the components enough to know how they affect your computer?s performance. You can then choose the right components for you. These choices can make your laptop more or less suitable for your needs, so spend the time researching.
The last step is to do price research to enable you to find the right notebook for the lowest price. Analyzing the different manufacturers and models, prices, and places to buy will help you find the best place to shop for a notebook. Proper research can help you get the most laptop for your money, and usually save money upfront.
Spend time researching notebook computers, using the steps above, to ensure you buy the perfect one. This will enable you to fully utilize your laptop to satisfy your lifestyle, needs and wants, and possibly save you money too.
